THE FARM
All of my life I have loved to explore the outdoors and share that experience with anyone that I can spark an interest. I have inspired many friends and family members to challenge themselves to try new experiences and they find that those experiences in nature can have life-altering and sustaining positive effects on their well-being.

I have lived in Pine Valley for 15 years and have spent much of that time exploring miles upon miles of our local backcountry on both bike and foot. My knowledge of this area is extensive and safety is of top priority. I feel comfortable instructing and guiding bikers of all ages and abilities knowing that I have a Level 1 Mountain Biking Instructors Certification from the Bike Instructor Certification Program (BICP), 4-years of local bike instruction experience with RPF under a guiding permit with the Cleveland National Forest, vendor contracts for MTB instruction for both JCS and PCA charter schools, 4-years of Lead Instructor experience with Ninja Mountain Bike Performance, a current First Aid Certification, a year's worth of intense SAR rescue & safety training, and Mountain Bike Unit (MBU) training. Rest assured that you are in good hands and that I want your experience to be amazing!
My professional experience also includes working as a substitute P.E. teacher for k-8th grades and as an adventure director in the Santa Monica Mountains of Malibu guiding clients on hiking, biking excursions, and multiple ocean activities to inspire them to unlock their passion for life. I also have BS degrees in both Geology and Biology and am currently registered as a professional geologist with the state of California. My "full-time" job is raising our two boys, Bjorn (14) and Brent (11) with my loving husband, Ryan.

"As a beginner mountain biker I was highly impressed with Gail's instruction.
She teaches in a way that is easy to understand and I was able to translate her knowledge into becoming a better rider. Gail took great care in making sure I was safe and staying within my skill level.
Every time we rode she built off the last lesson in helping me gain confidence in my capabilities."

If you are a beginning rider I would highly recommend Gail to show you how to stay safe, have fun, explore a part of San Diego that not many people are aware of, and relax in the serenity of the mountains."
